Laziness

Picture
Proverbs 10:4-5
Proverbs 10:4 – Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Life is not easy! Everyone can dream, plan, hope, and wish for success in their finances, family, careers, and legacies. However, us planning, hoping, and having dreams aren’t going to do the work for us.

We must actively put our hands to the plow! Think about it, the “World” has a mindset that is motivated by money and they will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals. So why is it that we as Christians have the greatest motivation (God) , but can’t seem to follow through with our goals?

There should be more Christian schools, music labels, clothing lines, banks, celebrities, restaurants, movies, books, and etc.

Good points to identify the spirit of laziness in ourselves:

1.      When you are always tired, even thou you are in the bed 24/7. Proverbs 20:13 – “Do not love sleep or you will grow poor…”

2.      When you do just enough to get by and talk about what you gone do instead of just doing it. Proverbs 14:23 – “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.”

3.      When you put time and effort into things that feed your flesh. Proverbs 12:11 – “He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.”

These are just a few examples of a lazy, procrastinating, undisciplined person. Laziness is one of the causes of lack in our lives today because it hinders us from motivation, wisdom, growth, and blessings.

The solution to get rid of laziness is be honest with yourself and God, pray for strength and positive energy, clean your environment of all clutter and distractions (T.V., food, money, the past), then just do it! Just remember we can overcome laziness with the power of God!
