Faith and Perseverance: Time for Execution James 1:2-7
When we set a goal or declare it’s time for change, all hell breaks loose on our lives. Everything that we say we’re going to do is contradicted by our actions, by something, or someone distracting us. This seems like it’s not suppose to happen this way. It’s the part of life that makes us either step-up to overcome a challenge or forfeit on our dreams. Forfeiting keeps us bound and stuck. Stepping up to the challenge, on the other hand, places us in position to stand bold and exercise (work-out) the mess in our lives and turn it into something that will grow our character and knowledge of God.
It’s the little challenges that add up in our lives, but we have to stay persistent at tackling life’s tasks till it turns out more helpful to us than harmful. We have the ability to follow God’s instruction. We must be willing to step-up to the challenge and walk in a way to pursue God without assuming we need people’s approval.
Are you willing to execute the assignment (big or small) God has placed in front of you? Why not start today?
